BEE - policy and standing
Employment Equity and Economic Empowerment are important concerns within the South African context, and often a deciding factor within the business environment. Ampaglas Plastics Group is therefore proud to have achieved a 3 B-BBEE level, made possible by our representative staff complement, as well as the recent management buyout which has resulted in Kopano Mota as the Chairman of Ampaglas Plastics Group. Importantly, Modek's BEE status allows our customers to claim one hundred percent BEE contribution.
As part of the Ampaglas Plastics Group, MODEK is committed to an Employment Equity Programme in line with the dynamics of South Africa’s social environment. Our business is focused on skills development as well as human capital investment. Ampaglas Plastics Group intends to lead the industry with respect to developing skills and has plans to spearhead this sector through programmes that are innovative and pioneering.
The Group was a finalist for the African Access National Business Awards in the categories, Diversity in the Workplace and Business Education and Training in 2011.
